New IANR & Extension PowerPoint TemplatesThe UNL & IANR custom templates for PowerPoint that have been available on the CIT Tips, Tricks, & Techniques website for years have been replaced with new versions that comply with UNL specific requirements. UNL has established specific requirements for using UNL and IANR logos and Extension and nondiscrimination statements on University publications (print, Web, presentations) and products (signs, promotional materials, etc.). These requirements address size, color and placement restrictions and help assure a single identification and appearance for all UNL resources. Plus, as of last year, the UNL & IANR logos are now registered trademarks ®. To make your work easier, CIT personnel worked with IANR & Extension administration to create several approved PowerPoint templates. There are 6 Extension templates that incorporate the “Know How Know Now” theme and 9 IANR templates. Using a new template1. Go to the IANR PowerPoint templates page or the Extension Know How Know Now PowerPoint templates page and Download (Save) the .ppt file(s) to your local computer. 2. Open PowerPoint. Then open the template file that you saved to your computer. 3. Use File > Save As to save the file with a new name for your presentation. 4. Create and save your new slide show. Converting an old slide show to a new template1. Open a new (clean) IANR or Extension template file.
3. In the Find Presentation tab section, click on the Browse button. 4. In the Browse dialog box, find your file and click on the Open button. 5. Slides will now be visible in the Slide Finder dialog box. Click on the Insert All button, then on the Close button. You will now see your old slide show in the new template style. 6. Your slide show is now inside the “default” IANR or Extension template file, so be sure to select File > Save As to save this new version of your slide show with a new name. 7. Check all slides, as you may need to make some corrections, such as moving text or changing an image size so that the image doesn’t cover a logo. You will need to make 2 changes for sure:
